Cats with gastrointestinal issues should never be given almond milk as it can be hard for them to break down the bacteria in the milk even without lactose. However kittens can safely drink the milk because they still have the lactase enzymes needed to breakdown the lactose in the milk. Almond milk can be given as an occasional treat for adult cats but there is no reason to give it to a kitten.
More than a cup is too much. A good thing is that almond milk does not contain any lactose. Although they are not considered dangerous almonds may cause minor stomach upsets abdominal pains and vomiting. Also almond milk contains sugar which is not good for cats because it can lead to obesity or some dental issues.
Make sure you re giving less than this a day and i would still err on the side of caution and give less just to be safe. Almond does not contain lactose a substance that most felines are intolerant of. Experts do not recommend giving almond nuts to cats because some cats can be sensitive to them. However soy milk and or almond milk should never become a major component in your feline s diet as it does not contain all of the nutrients needed to help your kitten grow up to be a healthy cat.
